Another Thanksgiving has come and gone and now the shopping season begins for the “big” holiday we know as Christmas. But wait… Let’s stick with giving thanks for a bit longer. This special Thursday is generally spent with family and friends giving thanks for one another. As both of my daughters live out of state we were unable to celebrate together as a family but we did gave thanks for each other by text. Sometimes it is easier to say heartfelt wishes by texting, in much the same way as sending a greeting card, but a lot cheaper and faster. This year, I joined my church community for a Thanksgiving meal. There were about eighty of our church family and a few guests who gathered in our Fellowship Hall for the Thanksgiving feast. A great time was had by all! |
